A growth characteristic of a very few Hard Maple trees, Birdseye is a rare and highly prized attribute of the finest hardwood flooring. In Premium flooring, it has predominantly the tree's white sapwood, with only some light brown heartwood and subtle flecks of brown color. But the intricate texture and visual appeal of Birdseye patterning is the floor's most striking effect.
